MEDIA KIT

To our friends celebating their golden years: Bon Voyage! This media kit, developed for academic purposes only, prepares the Disney Cruise fleet for a fictional trip around the world, providing a taste of royalty to our friends over 50.

CRISIS PLAN

Always be prepared. While a brand never plans to experience a crisis significant enough to impact its reputation, unexpected events happen. That's why it's crucial to have a well thought out crisis plan in place. After all, a response to a crisis may define an organization for years.

OP-ED

Share your POV. When a timely event takes place in the news, it may just be the time for an organization or public official to strike while it's hot. Sharing a point of view is a way to control your messge, mobilize action, educate the public and connect emotionally with your target audience.

MEDIA ADVISORY

Be Advised! When prepring for a press briefing, panel discussion or any event, a media advisory my sometimes be appropriate to quickly share the 5 Ws of an upcoming event to press. Typically, a media advisory is the time to share more specific, logistical informtion.

PRESS RELESE

Stop the presses! When making a major announcement, publicizing new research or introducing new legislation, a press release may be the way to go. It provides the newsy announcement up front with additional context below. However, a press release may not be the only options. Some news may be better announced on a blog or just pitched to key reporters.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLAN

Social media is an efficient way to supplement  news relese or share forml or informal updates from an organization or lawmaker. While some social content my be "one-off," other social media could be part of a larger campaign, like the sample linked above.

DATA BREACH STATEMENT

Communication is key when a company experiences a data breach. Whether it's the oganization's fault or not, it's on the brand to establish and maintain consistent communications with their internal and external stakeholders - communications that demonstrate a genuine concern for the impact the data breach may have on their lives.
